ICIA actively promote members' products in South China Book Festival

From August 10th to 14th this year, the annual book carnival, the South China Book Festival, was held in Guangzhou, a famous provincial capital city in southern China. The South China Book Festival is not only a book fair, but also a comprehensive cultural event centered on books. The exhibition area covers an area of ​​40,000 square meters, with more than 190,000 selected publications and more than 10,000 cultural products from different regions and publishers. It has more than 270 activities of famous lectures, writers' signings, ceremonies, interactive performances, etc. 360 celebrities and writers were invited to participate in these activities, to further enhance the cultural quality and service of the book festival.

 

 

As the international Registration Authority of the ISLI, ICIA actively responds to the digital publishing and cultural exchanges in this event. In order to provide ICIA members with a platform to display in Chinese market, this was the first time ICIA set up a display area in the South China Book Festival. Before the event start, ICIA communicated with the members in advance, introduce the Festival and collect sample books and catalogues, and we strive to provide members with more good service.

 

 

In the exhibition area of this year's digital publishing hall, the application of ISLI standard in the field of publishing is a highlight that attract a lot of citizens. The audience can experience several ISLI application products, including popular books, textbooks, newspapers, and digital products. The published products on display include MPR omnimedia publications (mobile phone scanning format), MPR reading publications (reading pen format) and ISLI e-books. By reading ISLI books and newspapers, readers can obtain more intuitive audio and video content related to text to meet diverse reading needs.

 

 

This year, the South China Book Festival will rely on "Internet +" and other innovative technologies to comprehensively upgrade the digital publishing hall. For example, focus on the innovations in the field of publishing, such as cloud computing, big data, artificial intelligence, virtual reality and other advanced technologies. And promote the sales of e-books, e-readers, ISLI publications, QR code books, VR/AR books and other digital publishing products. The South China Book Festival’s digital publishing hall has become a professional platform to showcase the outstanding achievements of the modern digital publishing industry.

As the largest book event in South China, this year's South China Book Festival continues to encourage the display of outstanding publications from various publishing groups at home and abroad, as well as the rich and diverse local cultures of various regions, promote regional cultural exchanges, and continuously enhance the appeal and influence of the South China Book Festival.
