ICIA was invited to the final evaluation of the third Global Illustration Award

On August 19, 2018, the final evaluation meeting of the third "Global Illustration Award" was held in Beijing. Ms. Guo Li, the representative of the International Information Content Industry Association (ICIA) as well as one of the organizers was invited to participate in the evaluation. The "Global Illustration Award" is a global top annual illustration contest founded by ICIA and the Frankfurt book fair (FBF). The IlluSalon. Co., Ltd, which is the largest international illustration platform operator in China was authorized to held the meeting. This year, the "Global Illustration Award" had received nearly 10,000 entries from 43 countries and regions.

The final evaluation was divided into five categories including Book Illustration Category, l Advertisement and Editorial Illustration Category, Scientific Illustration Category, Original Unpublished Children ‘s Picture Book Project and Theme Illustration Category. The jury was consisted of several professionals, they are Malaysian national illustrator Mr. Yusof Gajah, Russian famous illustrator Miss Victoria Fomina, the creative director of Germany Infographic group Mr. Sven Ehmann, and the jury president Ms. Claudia Kaiser who also is Vice-Presidents of Frankfurt book fair. In addition, some illustration industry leaders, and practitioners from China’s publishing industry and new media industry were invited to attend the meeting.

To ensure fairness and transparency of the contest, all the review processes were recorded by video. After the final award-winning works have been reconfirmed, the award-winning list was signed and sealed by the judges then locked into the list box with the witness of audience, the box will be kept until the announcement and award ceremony at the Frankfurt Book Fair on October 10, 2018. By that time, the representative of ICIA will attend the award ceremony.

ISLI illustration link application International seminar
During the final evaluation session, the representative of ICIA, Ms. Guo Li, who participated not only in the sharing session of the international master illustrator called "the power of illustration", but also in the international seminar of ISLI Illustration Link Application. The final evaluation session has promoted the application of ISLI in the field of illustration as well as played a positive role in spreading ISLI worldwide.
