ICIA and SAPPRFT signed Memorandum of Strategic Cooperation

To deepen the strategic cooperation between the parties, advance the development of the information content industry in a better and faster manner and pursue the principle of "long-term vision, mutual support and coordinated development", the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television of the People's Republic of China (SAPPRFT) and the International Information Content Industry Association (ICIA) signed the Memorandum of Strategic Cooperation at the Forum on ISLI Introduction and Promotion on May 16th, 2015.

 

The SAPPRFT will utilize its advantages in terms of organization and policies as an administration department to actively support ICIA in providing services for China's press and publishing agencies and encourage such agencies to take ICIA as their primary cooperation partner, and support ICIA in conducting relevant business activities to the extent as permitted by applicable laws and regulations of China. And ICIA will actively support the institutional restructuring, industrial upgrading and shift of development pattern of China's press and publishing industry, and provide China's press and publishing agencies with an open, cross-field and cross-border platform for exchanges in the information content industry and for win-win cooperation.

 

Both parties will establish sound communication and coordination mechanisms and jointly explore the development pattern and trend of the information content industry.

 

 

Wilton Chau, chairman of ICIA and Zhang Yijun, director of Digital Publishing Department of the SAPPRFT, signed the Memorandum. And president of ICIA Li Zhengfang, deputy director of the SAPPRFT Sun Shoushan, deputy director of Digital Publishing Department of SAPPRFT Xie Junqi, Li Dongfang from International Cooperation Department of Standardization Administration of China, ISO/TC46/SC9 secretary Todd Carpenter and vice president of the Frankfurt Book Fair Claudia Kaiser witnessed the signing of the Memorandum.
